Introducing AU Evil!Zax~

Outline: Zax is from an alternate universe in which Cloud, not Sephiroth, was the big baddie of the plot. Not only that, but Cloud won, and Midgar is the metal capital of a broken world, struggling back from the brink of human extinction and the Planet's Death after Meteor's hit, in which he lives and lords over the dying lands.

In the beginning, Zax followed Cloud out of loyalty and devotion to his friend and lover, seeking to protect him and guide him back to the right path, following him to the deepest and darkest places, staying by his side and carrying both their guilt. Undying loyalty.

However, the guilt slowly turned into bitterness, even as he tried and failed in more physical ways to stop his friend's descent into darkness. Many things happened, to both himself and Cloud, and one unfortunate mistaked then occurred... rebels had taken Zax's family captive in a desperate effort to stop the two. Misunderstandings happened too easily, and they were killed. This secured Zax's own descent, which with more events, turned him into the very kind of person he'd set out to defend the world against.

He eventually became Cloud's right hand man, his sword and guard, known to most as the rutheless Winged Assassin.
